Immunisation

EK Medical is an accredited immunisation provider offering caring vaccination services for patients in all stages of their lives.

Childhood Vaccinations

Childhood vaccinations are free for Medicare card holders.  Currently the New South Wales Immunisation Schedule provides that babies and children receive vaccination at 6 weeks, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 4 years of age.

In most cases all vaccinations for older children and teenagers occur via their school. It is possible to visit us for a vaccination catch-up. Please note that if your child has their school vaccination with us, they will be required to complete all follow up vaccinations at the surgery.

Influenza Vaccination

The flu vaccination is now available at no cost for high risk individuals. This includes pregnant women, asthmatics, diabetics and healthcare card holders.

Pneumonia Vaccination

Elderly people over the age of 65 are more vulnerable to pneumonia, especially during the colder months. A free vaccination is available from EK Medical to help prevent this.

Employment Vaccination

Working in certain industries poses a greater risk in terms of contracting a preventable disease. EK Medical can assist both employers and employees by providing employment-based vaccination and advice.

Travel Vaccination

For all travel vaccination consultation bookings, we ask that you kindly contact our team at least one month prior to your scheduled trip. This pre-emptive measure can mitigate against the risk of contracting an infectious disease while overseas.

Before going overseas, book an appointment with EK Medical for a personalised assessment of your health by our friendly and experienced team.
